Holding On To You
PMDD can feel all-consuming. It shapes moods, thoughts, and even relationships - and sometimes it can feel like it’s stolen the version of you that you know and love. This session will explore how to reconnect with who you are outside of PMDD, maintain a sense of identity, and gently reclaim the parts of yourself that symptoms may have overshadowed.
Living with PMDD can feel overwhelming - sometimes it takes over so much that you lose sight of who you are beyond your symptoms. When every month brings shifts in mood, energy, and self-perception, it’s natural to feel like your identity has been swallowed by PMDD.
This replay is designed to help you reconnect with the core of who you are, outside of your condition. Together, we’ll explore:
Why PMDD affects your sense of identity.
How to gently separate your symptoms from your true self.
Journaling reflections to rediscover what brings you joy and meaning.
Practical boundaries that protect your sense of self in conversations and relationships.
A guided exercise to create your own Identity Map - a visual reminder that PMDD is only part of your story, not the whole of you.
You’ll leave with practical tools, journaling prompts, and gentle reminders that your identity is bigger than PMDD.
Intended Audience: Anyone living with PMDD and/or PME who wants to feel more anchored in their true self, nurture the parts of their identity that bring joy, and build confidence in separating “me” from “my symptoms.”
Hosted by: Laura Teare-Jones, PMDD and fierce women’s health advocate, and hormone & mindset coach.
