Event Description:
This gentle, low-impact Pilates session is designed to support nervous system regulation and reduce physical tension commonly associated with stress and PMDD. Using controlled, evidence-informed movement and breath coordination rooted in the Pilates method, participants will engage major muscle groups while focusing on areas where tension is often held, including the neck, shoulders, low back, hips, and pelvis. This all-level session emphasizes relaxation, body awareness, and gentle mobility to support overall well-being and promote a sense of calm and restoration.
Chandra’s Bio:
Chandra brings a unique blend of lived experience and global perspective to her work in peer support and movement. Having travelled extensively and lived across the United States and abroad, she has developed a deep understanding of how people relate to their bodies, experiences, and healing. With over 40 years of personal therapeutic work and a strong commitment to physical wellness, Chandra has focused much of her journey on healing trauma and managing PMDD. In response to limited support and research, she co-created an online PMDD peer support group in 2021 and now volunteers as a facilitator with IAPMD, supporting individuals around the world. Chandra integrates the Pilates method into her work to promote strength, stability, and nervous system regulation. She is also passionate about increasing awareness and education on PMDD among healthcare providers. Based in Wichita, Kansas, she works as a caregiver, teaches Pilates, and continues her creative work through writing and art.
A recording will be provided for all registered participants. However, live attendance is encouraged to allow for real-time interactions and discussion.
