Guest Blog Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in writing a guest blog for the International Association for Premenstrual Disorders (IAPMD). We’re glad you’re here.
www.IAPMD.org welcomes thoughtful, high-quality contributions that support our mission to provide accurate, evidence-based information and compassionate support to individuals affected by premenstrual disorders.
Please review the guidelines below carefully, as they outline the type of content we publish and our submission process. If your blog aligns with these standards, you are welcome to submit it through our online form at www.iapmd.org/blog
Our Evidence-Based Commitment
IAPMD is an evidence-based organization. All content must align with current scientific literature, established clinical guidelines, and best practices in reproductive mental health.
We deeply value lived experience and recognize its critical role in shaping understanding, advocacy, and care. However, to ensure accuracy and safety for our global audience:
Any medical, treatment, or diagnostic claims must be supported by credible, peer-reviewed research or established clinical guidelines.
Personal experiences must be clearly framed as individual experiences and not presented as generalizable or prescriptive advice.
Content must not promote misinformation, unverified therapies, or interventions that lack evidence of safety and efficacy.
Emerging or experimental approaches may be discussed if clearly identified as such and presented with appropriate context and limitations.
All data, research findings, and external content must be appropriately cited.
Our goal is to ensure that all published content is both compassionate and scientifically responsible, supporting informed decision-making for individuals and families.
Blog Basics
Successful guest blogs are:
Original, well-written, and engaging
Clear, accessible, and respectful
Informative, reflective, and grounded in evidence
Focused on PMDD, PME, menstrual health, or reproductive mental health
Designed to foster understanding, validation, and empowerment
Blogs may include personal narratives, educational content, or a combination of both, provided they align with IAPMD’s evidence-based standards. Articles are typically 1,000–1,500 words, though flexibility may be considered depending on the content and format.
Review and Publication Process
All submissions are reviewed by the IAPMD Team. Submission does not guarantee publication.
If your blog is accepted, content may be edited for clarity, tone, accuracy, and alignment with evidence-based standards. References or links to IAPMD resources may be added. Content may be updated over time to reflect new or evolving evidence. You will be notified of any changes, and you have the right not to proceed with your submission if you are not in agreement.
IAPMD will promote published blogs through our website, email communications, and social media channels. We also encourage contributors to share their work within their own communities.
We appreciate your interest in contributing to IAPMD and helping ensure that conversations around premenstrual disorders remain accurate, responsible, and grounded in both science and lived experience.
