IMV-PMDD Model: Framework to Advance Understanding of PMDD & Suicidality
People with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) face a significantly increased risk of suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and suicide attempts, yet the mechanisms driving this risk remain poorly understood. In watching this webinar, attendees will learn about the development of the IMV-PMDD model, an evidence-based framework that identifies PMDD-specific factors that may contribute to suicide risk across the pathway from vulnerability and suicidal ideation to suicidal behavior. The session will discuss emerging research, clinical implications, and how a deeper understanding of these pathways can help inform prevention, assessment, and support strategies for people living with PMDD.
